As August draws to a close, the long days of summer sunshine start to soften, and a familiar rhythm returns — back-to-school routines, busier schedules, and the slow shift into autumn.

Here at Le Moulin, we love this in-between season. It’s a chance to reflect on the beauty of summer weddings, retreats, and gatherings we’ve hosted, while also looking ahead to the months to come.

For many families, the end of summer means one last holiday together before the school year begins. Our peaceful countryside setting has been the perfect backdrop for those final moments of rest: lazy mornings, countryside walks, and quality time that lingers long after the suitcases are unpacked.

It’s also been a season of celebration. Summer is our busiest time for weddings, and this year has been no exception. From sun-dappled ceremonies in our gardens to evening receptions under clear starry skies, we’ve been honoured to play a part in so many special memories.

But as the children head back to school and the evenings draw in, autumn brings its own magic. September and October are wonderful months for:
🍂 Corporate retreats — reconnecting teams after the holidays.
🍂 Wellness getaways — a reset before the winter months.
🍂 Intimate celebrations — with cosy dinners, warm lighting, and the colours of the season painting the landscape.

At Le Moulin, each season has its charm, but there’s something especially grounding about the transition from summer to autumn. It’s a reminder that every ending is also a new beginning.

Whether you’re planning a wedding, a retreat, or simply a stay in the French countryside, we’d love to welcome you here soon.

GUEST COMMENT
"We had a great stay with all our friends, the accommodation was amazing and we had absolutely no shortage of space (10 adults and 4 children). The rooms are spacious and well equipped. ...everything was very good".
