Q: Can we legally get married in France?
A: Legally, all marriages must be performed by a French civil authority before any religious ceremony takes place.
Traditionally the mayor can authorise a city councillor to perform the ceremony in the French town in which one of the parties to be married has been residing for 40 days minimum prior to the marriage. These requirements cannot be waived.
Q: So, if neither of us live/are living in France, can we get married there?
A: Generally, the alternative is to have a civil ceremony in your country of residence and then have a blessing ceremony in your chosen French venue. Remember, this has to be performed AFTER the civil ceremony has taken place. (It is worth speaking with a celebrant in France who may be able to help you with the necessary legalities).
Q: Will we have the whole site to ourselves for the entirety of our wedding weekend?
A: Of course. Once you have booked LMQ for your nuptials, we guarantee you total exclusivity.
Q: Can we adapt our wedding package to suit our needs or are the services within the package the only ones on offer?
A: Of course you can adapt your wedding package. Everything can be tailormade to suit your requirements from a speciality cake to particular flowers with the services of our wedding partners.
Q: How big is the salon for the reception? and, is there music?
A: The salon is 1500 sq ft and yes, we have along with our range of wedding partners we have the services of some great bands and djs.
Q: Can we have our ceremony outside? What about the reception?
A: Yes, of course, weather permitting.
Q: Will my marriage in France be legal?
A: Yes, a marriage performed in France under French law is recognised in the UK.
Q: We don't have a wedding cake - do you know someone who can make one for us?
A: Yes, along with our range of wedding partners who are able to provide everything needed to make your day so so special; we also have the services of a fabulous cake maker for your bespoke wedding cake.
Q: How many people can be catered for?
A: We can provide catering for up to 100 people.
Q: Is there any entertainment for the children?
A: We are able to provide details of outside entertainers for any children that will be celebrating with you.
